For our 2020 Chardonnay we looked to western Sonoma County, specifically the Heintz Vineyard in Russian River Valley. Sitting just above the town of Occidental, this is a cool, maritime site influenced by the Pacific Ocean just to the west. Heintz Vineyard’s 1000-foot elevation and prized Goldridge soils make it an ideal place for growing exquisite Chardonnay.

  • 100% Chardonnay
  • Whole cluster pressed; cold fermentation in 30% new French oak using native yeast; aged in barrels on the lees for 8 months
  • 72 cases produced

Our 2020 Chardonnay opens up with aromas of pear, citrus, lemon, apricot and orange peel. The wine is crisp but creamy at the same time and has excellent balance, showing cool coastal influences but also the warm, ripening sun of California. Exotic tones of crushed rocks and a nice minerality create a very long finish. Drink now and enjoy in the next 5+ years.
